After Media Design School successfully partnered with Digital Natives Academy in Rotorua, we are proud to also be linking up with MDS to provide more learners access to study digital and creative tech away from the Auckland city center.
“This partnership provides an innovative way to reach learners, many of whom may not have the means or funds to study in (central) Auckland or are less confident in studying from home. This approach also enables the community to play an active role in supporting these learners, which is critical to their success.” – Ruth Cooper, MDS Country Director – NZ
MDS delivers the Digital Creative Foundation program (120 credits at Level 4 NZQA) fully online with their industry experienced lecturers based at their Auckland City Centre campus. Learners opting to study from the Click Studios hub will receive additional support from the Click Studios team, with access to high-quality computers, software, and pastoral care.
“To engage more Māori and Pacific learners in Creative Tech, delivering our DCF programme regionally makes sense. This initiative opens opportunities for more Māori and Pacific learners in other regions, with their communities and whānau part of their educational journey”
– Bonnie Kea, Programme Coordinator – Digital Creativity Foundation.
Click Studio’s vision is to inspire the next generation of digital creatives and get them in to the industry, using those skills to not only create a fulfilling career but answer a long time call for more qualified developers in the ever-growing Creative Tech sectors of the world. Click endorses the DCF course that allows learners to try multiple facets of the creative tech world and additionally offers the option to study the Graduate Diploma of Creative Technologies as a progression on from the DCF.
“Click Studios is committed to doing things differently to enable more equitable access to the Creative Technologies industry and are excited by the opportunities the partnership will bring to West Auckland” – Bridie Thomson, Community Coordinator for Click Studios
Click Studios firmly believes in making these options of study in a successful industry openly accessible to our rangatahi as to not create bias surrounding the Creative Tech world and those who can create a successful future within it. Click understands that making this course accessible to those who otherwise may not have the opportunity to travel to and from the Auckland central city every day is important for the future of not only our rangatahi but also the creative tech industry on a whole.
Learners who choose to study MDS’ Digital Creative Foundation course from Click Studios will study from a co-shared working space that is home to all walks of Creatives – from game developers to film makers. Learners will be exposed to a community that supports and nourishes their creative endeavors while providing space for growth and connection within the creative tech industries.
The course is eligible for the Fees Free initiative and Studylink for student loans and allowances.
